Guild Service Project

This year our guild service project was two Sub-for-Santa Quilts.  We are making one for the Panguitch community and one for the Tropic community.  Here in Panguitch the quilt is taken to the bank and people can purchase tickets to win the quilt.  All the money raised goes to the Sub-for-Santa.  I know that this helps out kids here in Panguitch and Hatch and up at the Lake.

Here Claudia is laying out the blocks.  Everyone contributed from the fabrics to the sewing and ironing.
Jan is laying out the strips.

Pat is sewing the strips.

Rhea is cutting the blocks.

Lana and Debbie are ironing the strips.  We also had some working on the applique.  I didn't get any pictures of them.

Gwen, Tanya and Cheri are enjoying our refreshments.

The quilts we are making are from the pattern "hang to dry".  The book it is in is from Martingale and is called Here Comes Winter.  http://www.shopmartingale.com/here-comes-winter.html.  It is really cute.  We cut an extra kit to give in a drawing to one of the ladies that helped with the quilt.  Tanya won.
