Davidene's Quilt Shop

Davidene is a wonderful lady.  She was my neighbor for a while.  She moved up near Park City where her Quilt Shop is.  I have yet to go to her shop but I enjoy seeing her at the Utah Valley Quilt Guild events.  She seems to always support the guild in doing service or teaching classes.  These are the photos I took to show off what she had at her booth.

As quilters this should have a lot of appeal.  I concider my sewing group a bee.  This is adorable.

This could be a stash buster quilt if you use your scraps.

This one looks like a Kim Dhiel pattern.  I am not sure it is but I love the colors.

These are cute too.

Up against the window these look like stained glass.

This is a opportunity quilt they are selling tickets for.  The applique is amazing.  I hope they get lots of tickets sold.  This was not for Davidene's quilt shop.  I think it was for the guild.  

At the July Fair these are the things that were offered at the silent auction.  They actually had more but I wanted to show a sample.  Is how it works is they have a paper next to the item and people write how much they will pay for that item.  The highest price wins.

This is a fun event.  

My Girl Friend's Quilt Shoppe

Last month I was able to go up to the Utah Valley Quilt Guild's July Fair.  It was loads of fun.  They had all sorts of stuff goin on.  They had vendors, a garage sale, a bake sale, classes and a quilt show.  I try to go every year.  I used to belong to that guild when I lived in Utah Valley and I loved it.  They have exceptional meetings.  If you are ever free on a third Wednesday in Utah county you may want to look them up.  I am not sure where they are meeting now though.  Look at their blog uvqg.org.

These photos are from My Girlfriend's Quilt Shoppe in Midway, Utah.  I have been to their shop and purchased stuff.  It is a cute shop and they always have fun stuff going on.  I get their emails and it makes me wish they were closer.

I love the flag quilt.  I think it is a Geoff's Mom's pattern.  Those pinwheels are three D.  I think they are made with prairy points.

I have been thinking about putting up a barn quilt on my house.  This one is darling.  I will be up at their shop in a couple of weeks and maybe they will have one that matches my house.  It is actually a class but I am hoping they have some to sell.

I love the wool.

Do you like the cute turkey.  Like I said there were so many ladies looking I could not get a closer photo.  It is cute though.

They have cute cottons and cute patterns.  They offer all sorts of classes too.  In fact I think they have more than one location but I am not sure where the other locations are.  You will have to look that up.

I met the designer of these cute quilts here in Panguitch.  She is so nice.  

I want to remind all of you that reside in Garfield County, Utah.  The entries for the fair are to be turned in on Wednesday.  If you are going through Panguitch and can't come through on Wednesday give me a call.  I can help you out and take it over for you.  I love the fair.  It is like no other.  Let's support our County Fair.

Sew Yeah

I had heard about a new store in Vegas that had something like ten thousand bolts of fabric.  I was able to find Sew Yeah.  It did have tons of bolts of fabric, I don't know if there were ten thousand bolts but there were a lot.

Sew Yeah has some nice programs.  One I was particularly interested in was the humanitarian projects they do.  You come in the store and they supply all the supplies to make what ever the project is and you make it.  They called it something but I can't remember.  

This is their Row By Row challenge block.  Perfect for Vegas.

I think this is an iron tote with the ironing pad.

They had several bag patterns.  

This looks like a modern version of a stack and whack.

These foxes are popular right now.  I think someone in our group is making a quilt with foxes.

They had some decor that was for sale there too.

I think this is a great way to use the extra minky that you had left over from a back of a quilt.  THis is darling.  I love the elephant too.

I really like this quilt.

Sew Yeah also has machines.  They have long arm machines too.

I had to share this one with my sister.  She is a cat lover.

Yes there is a bench for the nonshoppers and someone to keep them company.

These mini quilts are so cute.  They had others too.  I am sure you could make these out of your scraps.  You may want the kit just for the buttons.  They take this project to the next level.

Next time you are in Vegas check out Sew Yeah.  They also have a club that sounds fun.  I would join if I lived there.  They have classes too.  Of course all quilters are nice and so were the people that worked there.
