Sending Our Love

Our Panguitch Ladies are sending our love to the mother of the family that died in the plane crash near here.  Our hearts and sympathy go out to her.  I won't mention the names of those that helped because I wasn't there for the whole creation but the quilt sure turned out cute.

This quilt was so fun, not that I did much on the quilt but I loved visiting with my friends.  I love getting together with them.  We have so much fun.  We laugh so hard we cry.  We had a small group tonight but the group earlier was much bigger.  All the ladies down here are fabulous.  

More Show and Tell

These are a couple of the quilts shown for the Quilt Walk Show and Tell.  This first one is the zipper quilt.  It turned out very cute, and the next one is a jelly roll race quilt.

I think these are Shalane's quilts.  I may have not spelled that right either but her quilts are fun.

Kim at Stitchin' It Up

Kim McAllister came to our Quilt Walk to show us her work.  She is an amazing teacher and comes each year to teach for us.  I was able to sit in one of her classes and was very impressed.  She has a shop in Cedar City, Utah called Stitchin' it Up.  It is a cute shop across the street from Linn's.  The trees cover the signs so you will have to look carefully.  She has fabrics, notions and supplies for Brazilian embroidery.  Kim has many talents and is willing to share her love for them.

I am sorry to say the photos don't do these works of art justice.  If you go to her store you could see the original.  They are truely beautiful.

Kim does beautiful embroidery to make her quilts even more special.  The embroidery is by hand.

The Halloween quilt is amazing.  

I have made one of these twister quilts and it was fun and easy.  I would do another.

I hope you can see some of the detail on this log cabin quilt.  The birds are fun but the embroidery is exceptional.

I think this is a fun star.  It looks more modern with the colors she chose.  

This witch boot will knock your socks off.  It is darling.

I sort of think this is done with the crayon technique.  I am not possitive though.

This star quilt really appeals to me.  I think it would be so fun to do it all scrappy.

Kim's husband has really been a great help to Kim with her business.  He even refinishes feather weight sewing machines.

I think this is done with that quick curve ruler.  I think it is beautiful.

This is the Metro Rings quilt.  This quilt sold out twice at our Quilt Walk classes.  The quilting on this is amazing.

Now these three photos are from the Row by Row challenge.  You can look up the challenge.  It is very fun.  You have to go to the shops to get their free patterns.  This top one was from two years ago.

Kim is very creative.  I loved her trunk show.  If you see a class offered by her you may want to sign up.  She is an excellent teacher.  Also stop by her shop.  She has lots of cute stuff.

Josephine Keasler's Trunk Show

Josephine Keasler was one of our trunk shows at the Quilt Walk.  She was fabulous.  She really has some beautiful quilts, and she is entertaining too.  If your guild can get her to come I know you will enjoy her and her quilts.  She really got into quilting after she retired and she has made a lot since then.  She came from California but I think she lives in Utah now but please don't quote me on that because I could be wrong.  I hope you enjoy the her quilts.

This is Josephine.

She said she loves animal print and sparkles.

She said she loves to take classes and learn different techniques.

This is beautiful.  Just look at the appliqué.

I love when colors are divided like this in a color wheel.

This is an amazing quilt, I think my husband would love this.

This quilt has embroidered girls on it.  My camera didn't pick up the sparkles.

This is the front and back.  The quilting was pretty too if you could tell.  

This was done to represent the 45's she loved.  If you don't remember 45's are music records.  Like a CD.

She said that this quilt everyone thinks is goes with the flowers growing up but it really goes the other way with them falling down.

This is like a stained glass window.

Both sides of this quilt are exquisite.

These are table runners and placemats.

Wow.  We will call this the grand finale.  This is beautiful.
