American Quilters

These are the quilts and fun things that American Quilters from Orem, Utah had in their booth at the retreat at Ruby's Inn.  Amy has loads of fun stuff in her shop.  This first one maybe one of the Under the Garden Moon designs.  It is darling.  Her husband made the frame for this.  Isn't it darling?

This little farm set really got my attention.  I thought this would be darling for some little ones.

Do they call this a string quilt?  Or even a tube quilt?  I don't know but it is cute.

I just love wool appliqué.  I think I showed you all this before.

This one you swap out the center for the different holidays.

Yes, I have one of these cute baskets.

I love the scrappy look.  It is a happy quilt.

I think I have a few blocks that I made that look like these.  At this point they are orphan blocks.

This would be another center for that one that you change out the center block.

This is Elephant is elephun.  Well that is the end of the American Quilting pictures.  Their shop is great, so if you ever get up that way stop in.  Check out Under the Garden Moon Patterns too.

February Guild Show and Tell

We had a wonderful show and tell this last Wednesday at our quilt guild.  I can't believe how much everyone is getting done. This first quilt is one of Crystals.

Gwen is showing her latest bench pillow.

Keela finished this Spring runner made out of wool.

This is Gwen's starting block for the block of the month quilt.

Keela made this dotted quilt

Crystal is going to use this panel for her quilt.

Crystal took a class to learn how to make this eagle.  It is so cool.

I watched Becky work on this quilt.  This photo doesn't do this justice.  The boots sparkle.

This one is also Becky's.

Becky said this bag was faster to make than you would think.

Jodi made this rug out of denim.

Angeli quilted this her self.  I have seen the improvement.  She is really doing well.

This is a block of a quilt that Claudia just started.

Claudia made this for her bishop.

This was a practice quilt.  If you can  see the quilting it looks great.

Shauna put this
s beuutiful

Lillian created this now.

If I recall This is also hers.

Marie has been really using up her stash.

This is also Marie's.

Cheri's daughter made this bear and gave it to her She was thrilled.

Kay has been working on this mini.  It is really cute.

Pat finished her block of the month.

She also finished her kitty quilt.

Rhea made this one.  Everyone is doing so well, I'm in awe.

Quilt Guild Sort of Block of the Month

I just wanted to remind you of our sort of block of the month.  We are creating our own quilt.  You use a center block of your choice.  Many of us are using panels but some are making up their own center.  Then we are adding these other blocks.  You need to have at least one of each of the blocks in the quilt though.  This block is a perfect one for the center though.
This one is slightly smaller.

Here is Rhea's version.

This one is the center for Crystals quilt.  It is a panel.

This is the center for Gwen's quilt.  These may give you ideas for your own quilt.  Come to guild to get the pattern for the added block.  Rhea has more.

Stitchin' It Up

The retreat was so much fun.  The last day the snow was just coming down and it was so beautiful.  The road going up was not so great but I had a wonderful time.  Stitchin' It Up from Cedar was there vending at Ruby's Inn.  Here are a few of the quilts they had to show.  They have some really fun fabrics there too.  This first quilt is a collage quilt.  Kim does have kits for this.  She is extreamly helpful if you have any questions about making the collage quilts.

This is a perfect quilt for Valentines Day.  You could use all your scraps for each of the hearts.

Look closely at this quilt.  The quilting is so beautiful.

This is sort of like that friendship star.  The frame in the center is asking for you to fussy cut something to put in it.

This quilt is so fun.  I love the secondary designs that are made with this pattern.

I started a bunny rabbit, the pattern is called Hip Hop.  It is done like this truck.  Loads of flowers make the picture.  I was expecting it to be easier than it is but I am enjoying the process.

My girls would love these.  They are so cute.

I still love this tuffet.  They are so whimsical, depending on the fabrics you use.  Well, that was a quick glimps of the stuff Stitchin' it Up has to offer.  It is a nice store with a great owner that can help you with your quilting questions.
