Quilted Works
I was in St. George the other day and went to Quilted Works. It is a darling store with all sorts of fun fabrics and patterns. I was really impressed with the selection of lazer cut pieces you can get to make beautiful quilts. I had seen a couple before but they had more. They had sewing machines too. The whole store really could inspire you to start a few new projects for the year. Here are some of the samples they had.
I think the snowflakes are some of the lazer cut fabrics.
I thought you would all want to check them out, so here is the information.
I love this idea. I have some blocks I think would look great with the off set outline. Great idea.
I love the bright colors and the embroidery.
They also do machine quilting.
The paw prints and words are machine embroidered.
I wish you could feel this. It was amazing. I would like to know how to do this.
These are done on their machines. They had all sorts of fun ideas to make.
This would be perfect for the deer hunter in your life.
Would that be fun or what? I am sure that would be a blast. You may want to check that cruise out.

Crochet Checkers
![]() |
| A friend of mine gave me this set of checkers that she made. I thought it was so fun. My kids have really enjoyed them so far. |

| These checkers don't hurt when thrown by the poor sport in the family. |

| This is the bag to keep the checkers in. I wish I had a pattern to share with you all. |

Christmas Quilt
The other night I decided to finish an unfinished project. My friend Helen gave me these blocks that she appliquéd. I had bought that red a little while back and had the boarder in my stash. I was able to throw this together in one night. Yes, I got off easy. The blocks were already done for me.

Helen is a very good appliquer. I am glad she gave these to me. Those are yo-yos in the centers.

I was up until 2am but it was worth it to have a project finished. I even got the back ready to go to the quilters.

Skillet Hot Pad
My friend Helen whipped up this skillet hot pad. I love it. It is just what I needed.
It is double crochet with the last row single crochet. I think she told me it was 12 double crocheted rows with a single crochet on the finishing row.
So far this has been really nice. I have greatly enjoyed this. I have just left it right there on my skillet. I take it off to clean it and put it right back on. That is sausage gravy there in the pan.
I think I will send one of these to my friend. She is an avid camper and this would be nice for all her cast iron.
