Village Dry Goods in Brigham City

Village Dry Goods from Brigham City came to the winter retreat.  I look forward to them coming each year.  Their style really speaks to me.  They have all sorts of patterns and wool, which I love.

They have kits for small and large quilts.  I love the snowman quilt.  These little quilts seem so popular lately.  Probably because you can finish them faster and they don't cost an arm and a leg to have then quilted.

This is a little penny rug.

They also have a lot of Buttermilk Basin patterns that I also love.

Cute pin cushions too.

I haven't seen a crazy quilt of the Nativity before, I like it.

These are stitcheries and they are darling.  Some of our guild members did some stitcheries like these in larger quilts and they were stunning.

These little boxes seemed to be fairly popular.  They certainly are cute.

I love this little quilt block.   But I was also showing that they have plenty of notions too.

Check out Village Dry Goods if you get a chance.  They have loads of cute stuff and this is just a small sampling of what they have, I am sure.

Marcia's at Rubys Inn Retreat

This quilt is beautiful.  Marcia's has this beautiful fabric to make this quilt.  If I remember correctly they are located in Richfield, Utah.

Marcia's has a good selection of fabrics and patterns.  I love the granny square below.  The little wall hangings and pillows are darling.  They have a good selection of fat quarters too.  Of course they are quilters so they are really nice people working there.

Angeli's Handy Work

Angeli won a bundle of triangles at Quilt Walk and This is what she made from them.  It is a bright, happy quilt.  Below is a hot pad she is making.  Sorry it is upside down.  It is cute either way.

Today my son and his beautiful bride get married in the Payson, LDS temple.  We are so happy.

Main Street Quilts

I went to Ruby's during their Winter Quilting Retreat to see what the vendors had.  You may enjoy some of the quilts that were on display at each of the shops.  This is from Main Street Quilts in Hurricane, Utah.  They have some darling patterns and fabrics.  You may want to check them out.

This one appealed to me.  I think it would also look good in wool.

They had all sorts of kits for sale.

I made one of these jar quilts but with bugs in each.  It is a cute quilt.

They have all sorts of antiques for you to see at their shop too.

This was the Row By Row for last year.  The pattern and kit are now available.

I thought this was so adorable.  It is a mini tuffet.  The legs are glass and so cute.  They had another color but this one caught my eye with all its bling.  The center button looks like diamonds.  Check them out the shop is nice and the employees are nicer.

Guild Service Projects and Blocks of the Month

We will be having a couple of choices for our block of the month quilts.  For those that would like to make the appliqued ones the Be Warm block is our January block.  Below is our pieced block.  You can choose which you would prefer to make.

This is someone else's version.
We made new name tags with these circles.  We made yo-yos and then attached them to ribbon then slid the name tag on.

Claudia is heading up our service projects.  This is a quilt that is a sample of one made for the care center.  It is for people that have fidgety hands.  You sew on all sorts of textures and gadgets that someone could fidget with.    I have never seen one of these before but I can imagine that some people would really enjoy this.  Claudia has the directions or if anyone is interested I will see if I can get them for you.  Also the sub for Santa would like to get doll clothes made for the 18" dolls.  There are all sorts of patterns out there and even free ones on the internet.  They are fun to make and don't take loads of time.  Please support our service project.
